Born in 1971, Khadem al Qubaisi is an Emirati businessman and former managing director of the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC)

Khadem Al Qubaisi was born in Abu Dhabi, where he grew up. He then studied at the University of the United Arab Emirates in Al Ain. After a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, he decided to leave academia to pursue a career in business.

During his career, he played a role within the following companies : International Petroleum Investment Company, Arabtec Holding P.J.S.C., Aabar Properties LLC, Aabar Investments PJS, Abu Dhabi National Chemicals Company, Emirates Investment Authority, Abu Dhabi National Takaful Company P.S.C., First Gulf Bank PJSC, First Energy Bank B.S.C.(c), Falcon Private Bank Ltd., NOVA Chemicals Corporation, OMV Aktiengesellschaft, UniCredit S.p.A., Borealis AG, Hyundai Oilbank Co., Ltd., National Central Cooling Company PJSC, Gulf Energy Maritime PJSC and Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries LLC.

Khadem Al Qubaisi strated his career in ADIA (Abu Dhabi Investment Authority), a powerful sovereign wealth funds, as Senior Financial Analyst. He began at IPIC in 2000 as the manager of the Investment Management Division. Seven years later, he became one of the members of the board and Managing Director of the company.



Khadem Al Qubaisi is married and has 3 children: two boys and one girl.
